Rex Joseph's Baptism

For all intents and purposes, Rex's baptism should have been a total disaster.  Three cases of hand-foot-mouth disease, a last minute day change, forgetting to send invitations, a snow storm, and major acid reflux were just a few of the challenges that made the baptism crazy.

So, why would I consider it the best baptism yet?  Well, just like our faith the baptism was a journey.  If we try all those ups and downs can bring us closer to Christ by offering it up to Him. Finding Christ in the reality of life, no matter how crazy. If we can look past the distractions, we see the joy of Christ in the little things. We sure did have lots of joy during the baptism.  An intimate baptism with just Grandma and Grandpa Fathbruckner, Grandma and Grandpa Winner, Great Grandma and Grandpa, and of course Rob and Tanya.  There were lots of jokes from Father and the atmosphere was relaxed and happy.   Great Grandma Winner got to hold Rex and they had a great time bonding.  We then had a wonderful little party with wine and an adorable cake for our little group.  I'm loving these little moments of joy.
