He is finally here! Rex Joseph was born on November 14th, 2013. We were induced that morning and he was born at 3:58 that afternoon. The delivery was smooth except for a short while when his heart rate was dipping because the cord was wrapped around him. Doctor Hart quickly used the forceps to turn him and in about 30 minutes he was born and was completely healthy. It was extra interesting because we let all of the training nurses and doctors on call use the birth as an educational experience, so we had tons of people in the delivery room. At one point I think there were 15 people! Right after Rex was born he started nursing and he has been a great eater since.
Tyler and I are so happy to have our little man and grateful for all the help from the Grandma's!

Beyond Cute...
During September and October we spent a lot of time getting used to a new routine. Although it is going to change a little as soon as Rex arrives. Right now I am just enjoying all the fun things Leo is learning (like his pledge of allegiance), Max being almost potty trained, and Ace starting to talk.
Ace is a total wild man. He loves tipping over any box of toys he can find, climbing every surface, and wrestling with his brothers. |

Ace always gets Leo's book bag for him when we pick up Leo from school. |

I really tried to get a better picture of superman, but he didn't want to be photographed. |
Halloween 2013
Yes, these are the exact same costumes we used last year. At 38 weeks pregnant I was not really worried about Trick or Treating. Plus, the boys think being monsters are awesome. This year we went to a few houses in Gahanna. Then, when I had to work on Sunday Tyler took the boys to Trae's house to Trick or Treat with the Rogers family. Each night we let the boys stay up late and each a bunch (not all) of their candy.
Learning to Share
I came into the room because Max was crying like crazy. I discovered that he had poured the entire box of Teddy Grahams onto his plate. The reason he was crying....because Leo took ONE Teddy Graham. It's hard being 2.

Potty Time for Max!
Well, I'm not ready to call it yet but Max has gone 5 days in a row with no accidents. He even goes on the big potty all by himself. He has been wearing big boys pants for over a month now, so its great to have more progress! I know it just takes one day of distractions to throw a little guy off track, lets hope we can stay consistent. He just might be completely potty trained by the time Rex arrives (only 10 weeks left). It might help that I have been giving him matchbox cars and suckers for prizes!

Ace FINALLY got a haircut in August. He looks much better! A pretty handsome little man.
Leo has been helping out Grandpa on the Farm. He has been on tractors, combines, loaded hogs, and even driven a load of cattle to Osgood with Grandpa! |
