Spring Lesson: March

Leo painting his bird house

Leo's thumb print picture.  Learning about the season of Spring and how rain and sunshine help flowers grow.

Outside finding things that grow.

Max getting in on the action.

Leo explored the yard trying to find bugs, birds, and flower buds.  Max and I played catch and read books.

Ducks!

Leo feeding the ducks.

Max loved watching the ducks!

Grandma Winner bought each of the boys their own duck to have on the farm.  They loved them! Max would not stop saying 'duck' the entire weekend and constantly wanted to go outside to see them.  Leo named them Duck 1 and Duck 2.  Unfortunately, Grandpa said they cannot stay, so they will be going to Grandma's co-workers house.  Even if they can't stay, it made for a really exciting weekend! I am sure we will be visiting them at Katie's house when we go to Greenville.

Max's First Birthday (Greenville)

Max's Greenville Birthday Cake
Max had a great birthday weekend with the Winner family in Greenville. Complete with playing outside, playing with the animals, and getting fun new presents.  He got a bulldozer from Uncle Taryn and a garbage truck from "Aunt" Amy.   Grandma and Grandpa bought joint gifts for the boys, a radio flyer wagon and ducks.  Yes, real live ducks.  Max would walk around the house yelling "car" and "duck" all day.  It was a fun weekend, but I think Max's favorite parts were going outside, hanging out with Papa, and his ducks.  I will put some pictures of the ducks in another post.

Sharing A Room

The boys love sharing a room!  They also enjoy reading books before bed.  Leo has made us read Go, Dog, Go and Apples On Top for weeks.  He can recite half of Go, Dog, Go.

First NASCAR Race

Tyler let Leo stay up to watch the NASCAR race with him, Leo watched it until about 10:00, then got a little to tired.

Making Cookies February 2012

Making cookies with the boys.  Cookies were a big part in helping Leo to use the potty.  We always have fun making them together.  It gets a little messy, especially with Max helping now.

Max Playing February 2012

Mr. Adventure loves to find new places to crawl, climb, and hide.

Peekaboo!

He finally got tired and decided to take a nap.

Catching Up...

Well, I am very far behind on my blogging. Things have been very good, but busy.  I also get tired very quickly, so I am going to bed right when the boys do, leaving no time for blogging.  But I will try to catch up with some pictures and updates.  First, Leo is potty trained!  In January we took away the pull ups and it took about 1 month, but he has it down now.  He is very proud of himself, and we couldn't be happier!
Max has a mouth full of teeth, walks everywhere, and has developed a very strong and independent personality.  We moved him over to sleep in the room with Leo and it only took about 2 nights of crying, but they both sleep great now.  Pictures and more updates to follow...
