The Boys Are Sharing A Bedroom

This December we got the new crib for Max and put it in Leo's room. Leo has been asking for Max to stay in his room, so we decided to go ahead and try it a little early.  We are one night in and it went really well.  I hope it last because we have only 5 more months until Winner number 3 is here!

Zoo Lights & Santa: Christmas 2011

It was really cold, but the boys still had fun.  Max thought Santa was great, but Leo was more impressed with the Polar Bear.  He did finally tell Santa that he liked trains.  It was a great night hanging out with the boys and Uncle Taryn and Jenn.  Hot Chocolate, Santa, Zoo Lights, Animals, Family, Snow...Merry Christmas!

Leo's Best Friend

Today I asked Leo who his best friend was.  He said, "You are Mommy".  Sigh.  So cute...wish it would last, but I will take my moment.

Halloween 2011

Trick-or-Treat!  Leo went as Diego and Max was a lion.  They both had a lot of fun even though it was pretty cold.  We went up and down our street with Grandma Winner, while Tyler stayed at the house to pass out candy.  Leo did a great job saying "Trick-or-Treat" and "Thank You".  At the end of the night Leo ate some of his candy, but decided to save the rest to eat a little each day.  I was pretty impressed.

My Max :-)

At 7 months Max no longer plays with baby toys.  He loves to play with footballs, trucks, and Leo's cars/ramps.  He also has a blast taking apart Leo's trains, which doesn't go over so well with his big brother.  We hear, "MAAXXX NOOOOO!" a lot.

Movie Night

Both the boys love movie night.  Leo thinks staying up late and eating popcorn is a great treat.  Max never makes it very far into the movie, but he tries.
Lately, it has been Lion King ever week.  Although, Grandma brought over, How To Train Your Dragon, and Leo liked it.  Although, if you would ask Leo if he likes dragons, he would say "No, their bad.  I like Lions.".

Swimming at YMCA

We took Leo to go swimming, but Max wanted in too.  Max likes just sitting and splashing.  Leo is getting better at actually swimming.

We've Got Company

Well, it's been a long time since I have posted anything.  This is due to the fact that I am exhausted and usually fall asleep right after the boys.  There have only been a few times in my life when I have felt that tired, two actually.  So as I thought, and now confirmed by the Doctor Hart baby Winner number 3 will be here June 4th!
We are so excited for our newest addition to the family.  I am feeling pretty good, just tired.  Oh, and I cry about everything.  I just sobbed over episodes of the Office last night.  Tyler is very excited and was the first to start telling people.  We are both looking forward to the craziness ahead!

I am going to try my best to keep this updated with the boys and the pregnancy, but post might not be so frequent. :)

Potty Time...not so good.

So, after about two full weeks of successfully going on the potty Leo regressed a lot.  We are back to wearing pull-ups and using the potty about 50% of the time.  I think he will get it soon, it just going to take lots of reminders and patience! He still gets excited about going and as long as you remind him he is usually okay with it.  He still loves getting the chocolates and cookies.  His big problem is being distracted and not wanting to stop playing to get up and go.  Considering he is only 2, I am not to worried about it yet.

Potty Time!

I think I can officially say that Leo is potty trained.  He does have a few accident here and there, but he can go by himself most of the time and just needs reminders throughout the day.  He is wearing big boy pants, except for night time. Chocolate M&Ms were a big help.  He was happy that I would give him a chocolate every time he sat on the potty, whether he went or not.  Eventually he peed and has been doing it since.  He is funny because he thinks its cool to poop.  He will tell me, "I'm going to make a HUGE poopy".  Well, whatever will get him excited enough to do it!  He is not even two and a half yet. I hope this stays!

Another Zoo Trip :)

Leo's Artwork

Leo and I had a great morning exploring with finger paints.  It was a little messy, but a lot of fun.
Leo decided to take a break in the middle of painting to run around the yard  a few times.
Leo's Masterpiece!

Max Sleeping

At around 3/4 months Max would fall asleep will playing on his activity center.  He would just lay his head down and go to sleep once he was tired and would nap for an hour or so.

Going on a Letter Hunt

Leo and I getting ready for our Letter Hunt.  Max wanted to join in on the fun.  Leo is doing really well with his letters.  He has A, B, C, E, L, M, N, O, T, X down.

Max the Moose and Leo the Lion

After a two month wait, the special order Jellycat Moose arrived!

This is Leo after having a tantrum because I told him the Moose was not his and he had to give it to Max.
This is Max when Leo finally gave up and gave him the Moose.  Oh Brothers....how fun.

Max Attack!

Max is all over the place!  He does not crawl, but he manages to get everywhere.  He loves playing with whatever Leo is playing with.  He is the grabbiest kid I have ever seen.  Anything within 3 feet of him, he will somehow grab it!  He is also the happiest kid I have ever seen.  He loves to laugh and play.

Winner and Welsh Zoo Trip

We had a great trip with the Welsh family to the zoo this summer. The kids had a great time and the weather was perfect...a little rainy, but it was great!

Max's First Roll

This is Max's first time rolling over. It was June 24th, so he just turned 3 months old. Now that he is 4 months he rolls and scoots everywhere. You can tell he really wants to chase after Leo.

Monsters

Tonight at bedtime Leo and I were on a "letter hunt". We were pretending to be pirates looking for letters around the house. Max started to wake up and he was crying. I told Leo, "Oh no the monster is waking up...rrrrr" (with a pirate voice of course). Leo got real serious/worried and said, "But I'm scared of monsters". It was the cutest thing ever. Then I had to talk to him for 10 minutes about how Max is not a real monster and there is no such thing as monsters. Be careful what you say around a 2 year old!

When Max Grows Up...

Today at dinner I told Leo, "Someday when Max grows up he is going to play train's with you.". Leo got excited and said, "When he grows up!". I reassured him, "Yep, when he grows up.".

Then, he quickly finished his dinner, jumped out of his chair and said "Come on Max lets play!".
I guess someday means right after dinner to a 2 year old.

Choo Choo Leo is Two!

Leo had a great second birthday. We invited over family and a few friends for a small birthday party. Of course, because our family is so large it was not that small of a party! The weather was perfect and the kids all had a great time playing outside on the new climber Tyler and I bought Leo. Tyler's Mom bought Leo the biggest tent set I have ever seen and the kids liked that too. Grandma and Grandpa Fathbruckner bought him bubble set, football and soccer ball which has already had a lot of use! He also got several cool train toys because we had a train them again. Leo had an adorable Thomas the Train cake from our favorite bakery. Leo played with his cousin Becca the most, then stayed up late with his Great Aunt Betty. He had a great time!

I feel like Leo has been two for months already because he is such a big kid, so it has not been a big shock of "my baby is two" like I thought it would be. He is so talkative and active I feel like he is four! Just the other day he started asking why and how to everything and in the appropriate context. I think I have my hands full with this one!

Max's Baptism

Max had a wonderful Baptism. The service was much like his personality, laid
back and happy. There were about 7 other babies so it was a little chaotic, but lots of fun.

We had a great party at our house afterwards. Even if it did rain and everyone had to stay inside. For having about 10 kids under the age of 6 in the house it went really well!
